The Winter Park (FL) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. presents the 2024 Black Film Chill & Chat--a limited screening of the award-winning romantic comedy, Boomerang (1992) at the West Orange Cinema on Saturday, February 10, 2023.

Boomerang is a 1992 American romantic comedy directed by Reginald Hudlin. The film stars Eddie Murphy as Marcus Graham, a hotshot advertising executive who also happens to be an insatiable womanizer and male chauvinist. When he meets his new boss, Jacqueline Broyer (played by Robin Givens), Marcus discovers that she is essentially a female version of himself, and he realizes he is receiving the same treatment that he delivers to others. The film also features Halle Berry, David Alan Grier, Martin Lawrence, Grace Jones, Eartha Kitt and Chris Rock.

Following the screening, we invite you to stay with us in the theater for a discussion about love and relationships moderated by personal empowerment specialist, Darrell Butler.

In addition to the usual theater fare, VIP guests will get to enjoy an all-you-can eat brunch catered by Winter Park (FL) Alumni member, Courtney Lanier of Big County's Kitchen.  The menu is available below.

Brunch will start at 9:30am and the movie will begin at 10:00am.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will directly benefit the Award-Winning Winter Park Kappa League.

Admission covers the screening of the film Boomerang (1992) and the post-film discussion. VIP tickets will include all-you-can-eat brunch, and assigned premium seating with a table. General Admission will include open, stadium seating.
