Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity was founded on the campus of Indiana University on January 5, 1911. The Fraternity's fundamental purpose is achievement. One of the goals of Kappa Alpha Psi has been to train its members, particularly undergraduates, to assume leadership roles in their respective communities and achieve a high degree of excellence in their academic pursuits. The Winter Park Alumni Chapter received its charter in March 1992. The chapter’s target area for community service is the northeastern corner of Central Florida from Winter Park to Deland. The membership is widely diverse in terms of professional fields represented, which include law, finance, medicine, education, architecture, public relations, education, and engineering.
